Jasmine's Rain is a dramatic work based in an urban setting. A woman's lover is gunned down by his former gang members because he quit their gang. This occurs while Donte, her middle-class lover gone bad, is proposing marriage to her on her back deck. 

After waiting two months for the law to find his killer, Jasmine seeks to find his killer or killers, on her own. This task turns the uptown girl, into a downtown killer, with a rightous cause.
